A Community In Need

In the past three and half years, Mary has been on two mission trips down to Tijuana, Mexico. Her trips there have been life transforming! There you see real poverty and real hunger but an incredible love for Christ and an appreciation for anything given. There are no government programs in Mexico - no welfare, no food stamps, no unemployment compensation. These people are 20 minutes south of San Diego but their lifestyle is like a million miles away. You cannot go there and not want to help. When Mary got back in March, she felt she had to do something. The most basic need is food. El Shaddai used to offer a daily lunch program for the children in the area. They have had to stop because of the cost. El Shaddai used to pass out rice and beans to the residents in the colony. They have had to limit this because of a lack of support.

Please help her stock the food pantry for our Tijuana neighbors! She will be traveling to Mexico in April and has set a $5000 goal and is confident that it can be reached. Please visit the "How to Help" page to learn how you can join the cause.
